The Longest Hitting Driver Ever Tested!

Golf Digest... Golfing Magazine... Pub Links Magazine...

Since the AURORA Driver was introduced in early 2005 it has shown up in every important issue issue of Golf Digest and Golf Magazine. Golf Digest first featured the Aurora Driver in its once a year "Hot List" issue. Golf Digest tested hundreds of clubs. Only their top 5 driver picks made the "Hot List" issue. Scallop Face Technology made its debut. Golf Magazine's "Golftest 2005" issue comprised a panel of different handicapped golfers. Of the multitude of drivers they tested, the Aurora was picked as one of the best drivers of the year. Pub Links Golfer magazine rated the Aurora, along with our Supernova Fairway Woods as their #1 pick of clubs, giving the set their highest rating. "These clubs will give you more yardage no matter what your swing speed is."

The theory that drove us to develop the Aurora Driver used a round face model as the most efficient shape to hit a ball as there would be no deformations when the face cycles inward. The pressure would be equal on all sides. But, a round face is not practical on a golf club. The hosel offsets pressure, and the center of gravity would be high. It would be unusually shaped as well. The Aurora's face is elliptical. The bottom and sides curve around evenly, without a straight area across the bottom. With a "Scallop Face" it allows the face to "cycle" in and out, during the ball strike as though it were round. The machining/Scallopping effectively eliminates the distortion of a more traditional shape. The ball explodes off the face while no vibration is felt in the hands.
